Week 5

Tuesday, July 22
This past weekend was spent entirely in the computer lab working on the final reports. It’s so overwhelming thinking about all that still has to be done. We were productive this weekend but there is still so much to do. Today we spent most of the day looking for supplies to make signs for our clients. We walked all over Stellenbosch and managed to get great stuff from the Stellenbosch theater and maintenance departments. We also managed to get a paint discount from from a paint store in Stellenbosch. It is probably going to be a late night tonight so we can paint the signs and give them to our clients.

Wednesday, July 23
Last night we were up all night sanding, priming and painting the huge signs. We painted the signs on chalkboards we got from the maintenance department. We ended up with paint everywhere and made a mess of my teammate's apartment. It was all worth it though when we brought the signs to Thunzi and saw the look on her face and her sister's face. They were so thrilled to finally have a sign for their business. After delievering the signs we had to go back to the computer lab to keep working on our final report.

Thursday, July 24
Today we had a meeting with Chris Bangaza of Prints Charming. We showed him all the marketing collateral we designed and let him choose which he wanted to use. He was so happy with the logo designs and couldn't wait to have them printed. It was so great so see the expression on his face when we showed it to him!
